Wherever painting goes, has gone, or will go Myers will be there. A Los Angeles-based freelance critic and indepedent curator whose writing has appeared in numerous publications, and most recently the author of a monograph on a single painting by Mary Heilman, Myers’ love for painting is inexhaustible. He is currently a Visiting Lecturer at The School of The Art Institute of Chicago and Adjunct Associate Professor at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, and is a regular editor and contributor to a range of publications, including Flash Art, Lapiz and Art/Text. Myers will survey the terrain of contemporary abstraction as the context for the work of Scott Short.
