Gallery M-6, the Art Institute of Chicago
From the event invitation:
The Antiquarian Society of the Art Institute of Chicago requests the honor of your presence at a Tea on Friday, April the tenth, from half after three until half after five o’cock in Gallery M-6 for a Private View of the Guelph Treasure.
The Guelph Treasure is without doubt the greatest group of Medieval devotional objects ever brought to this country and one of the best authenticated collections of its kind in the world. It caused a sensation both in New York and Cleveland, attracting enormous crowds. The Antiquarian Society of the Art Institute and The Renaissance Society of the University of Chicago have been fortunate enough to secure its exhibition in Chicago, where it will be at the Art Institute from March 31st to April 20th.
The beautiful cross, which the Antiquarian Society recently acquired from this collection, will be on view.
Membership Cards must be presented at the door. Guest tickets One Dollar.
