Given ongoing public health concerns, our spring programs will be presented online in reimagined formats.

Curator and writer Shannon Stratton presents four exercises in cathexis, a performative lecture about knowing/unknowing in response to Miho Dohi’s work. Meditating on material, process, and objecthood, Stratton interleaves Dohi’s sculptures with found and manipulated text, sound, and images.

This event was live-streamed on Zoom and Facebook Live.

Stratton is currently Executive Director of Ox-Bow School of Art and Artists’ Residency and was previously Chief Curator at the Museum of Art and Design in New York. In 2003, she co-founded Threewalls in Chicago, where she was Director for twelve years.
