The Renaissance Society’s Student Committee is free and open to all undergraduate and graduate students in the Chicago area. Student Committee members receive invitations to special student events and a 20% discount on all Ren publications and posters.

Membership is your entry point into the Renaissance Society community. Your support at this level helps sustain the Ren’s exhibitions, publications, and public programs—while connecting you more deeply to the art and ideas we champion.

The Ren Giving Community
The Ren Giving Community is for those who believe that putting artists forward is a powerful act. Your gift doesn’t just fund one exhibition—it makes everything possible: the research, the resources, the relationships, the risks, and the realities of bringing ambitious new art into the world.
We give artists the space and support to take their boldest steps—and offer those ideas a platform to resonate far beyond our walls. When you join the Ren Giving Community, you become part of this legacy.
Ren Giving Community members are invited into a closer relationship with the Ren as an extension of our ethos of collaboration, curiosity, and care. These experiences are intimate, considered, and purpose-driven.
$1,000/year or $84/month:
- All membership benefits
- Receive each new Ren publication (typically three per year)
- 10% discount on the Ren’s artist editions
- Join private walkthroughs of exhibitions with artists and curators
$2,500/year or $210/month:
- Receive all of the above
- Attend opening dinners with artists, Board members, and curators
- Travel with Ren curators and Board members to explore contemporary art in global contexts—up next: Vietnam & the Philippines. Recent destinations include the Ivory Coast & Ghana, Colombia, Tunisia, and Norway.
- Visit artist studios and private collections
$5,000/year or $420/month:
- Receive all of the above
- Host one private exhibition walkthrough per year
- Participate in intimate gatherings at the Ren, a nod to the legacy of rigorous, off-the-record dialogue and community building
$10,000/year or $840/month:
- Receive all of the above, plus curated opportunities for direct engagement with Ren staff and artists on upcoming initiatives
- Be a key partner in advancing the Ren’s mission and influence
