Gallery hours, noon—6pm
Outdoor reception from 3—5pm
In this exhibition, a number of artists offer different perspectives on property, from objects and land to new technology. As an abstract idea that shapes social and economic structures, how does “property” start to organize emotional life today, too?
On opening day, Saturday, September 10, Fear of Property will be open to the public from noon until 6pm, with celebratory drinks and music from 3 until 5pm on the quadrangle, just outside Cobb Hall. Please check our social media for updates in the event of inclement weather.
In addition to the works in the gallery, another portion of the exhibition is presented online at Renaissance TV, available for viewing at home or on mobile devices. During the opening day only, these video works by Karrabing Film Collective, Pedro Neves Marques, and Andrew Norman Wilson will also be screened in a viewing room down the hall from the gallery.
This event is free and open to the public.
